Komet Irrigation, a global leader in sprinkler irrigation since 1952, announces the launch of Komet Precision Wave (KPW), a new generation of pivot irrigation sprinklers designed to ensure more uniform water distribution, better crop absorption, and more efficient use of water resources.
One of the main challenges of pivot irrigation is reduced uniformity at the outer edge of the system. The KPW’s new oscillating deflector generates a highly uniform droplet pattern, ensuring consistent coverage across the entire pivot radius. The result is more even vegetative growth, higher yields, and optimized water use.
Key technical features of the Komet Precision Wave include a throw radius of 9–15 meters and a flow rate of 4.0–24.0 m³/h. Nozzles are available in nine sizes (10–18 mm) and two versions: Head-up (white deflector) and Head-down (yellow deflector). The KPW’s broad adaptability to different pivot systems and field conditions makes it an easy-to-use solution for farmers.
Designed and manufactured according to rigorous precision standards at Komet’s facility in Lienz, Austria, the KPW reaffirms the company’s commitment to robust, durable solutions developed to meet farmers’ real-world needs.

Coming soon: the Komet Experience Hub – applied research for smarter decisions
Also debuting at Agritechnica is the Komet Experience Hub, a 1,000 m² R&D center combining automated testing, IoT monitoring, and real-life simulations of wind, evaporation, and droplet behavior. Its mission is to produce scientifically comparable data that supports farmers and OEMs in making informed technical decisions in the field.
“For the first time, it will be possible to observe irrigation system performance under reproducible yet realistic conditions,” added Groos. “The Experience Hub reflects our commitment to transparency, precision, and continuous innovation.”
