Trelleborg shows its new product, the giant IF900/65R46 TM1000 High Power with its 46-inch THK rim. The new BlueTireTM tread design maximizes the tread width and ensures the widest footprint on the market, providing optimum pressure distribution and the utmost respect for the soil. “Our latest giant tire is a powerful outcome of our advanced engineering. The new 46-inch IF900/65R46 TM1000 High Power ensures an extra wide footprint at low pressure and an unbeatable floatation performance. This results in improved pressure distribution on the ground to boost crop yield, while preserving soil from compaction,” says Piero Mancinelli, R&D Director, Agricultural and Forestry Tires, Trelleborg Wheel Systems. The company also feature its recently launched, innovative ProgressiveTraction™ tire, a new concept of agricultural tires specifically designed to improve farming efficiency thanks to a double lug. Operating on the soil at different times, the double lug progressively releases higher traction where and when required. ProgressiveTraction™ tires demonstrated a traction capacity over ten percent higher when compared to standard technology tires. Moreover, the extra pulling force resulted in a three to five percent reduction of working time, as well as a five percent reduction in fuel consumption, providing farming operations with substantial cost savings.
